Firefighters were battling a brush fire at Sunset Park today that created a large smoke plume visible around the valley.
Nobody was injured, and no structures were threatened, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
The fire was reported about 10 a.m. this morning at the park near Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue, officials said. It was burning east of the Clark County Park Police substation, official said.
The cause of the fire was not known, officials said.
Firefighters from the county and Henderson were on the scene.
