The Senate’s filibuster rule is pro-democracy because it promotes democratic republic bipartisan government procedure that protects any party — be it Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, etc., — from ramming through legislation without the chance for public debate and discussion.
It is designed to protect all people in society from being subject to tyrannical imposition in their lives, where all their rights could literally be swept away overnight.
