A man fatally shot his mother Monday morning in a residential North Las Vegas neighborhood, city police allege.
The 64-year-old victim, who died at a local hospital, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, said North Las Vegas Police, noting that officers initiated medical aid.
A witness at the scene said the victim’s 31-year-old son was the shooter, and he was taken into custody without further incident, police said.
Police responded to the shooting about 11:15 a.m. in the 6600 block of Giant Oak Street, a neighborhood tucked between Clayton Street and Deer Springs Way, police said.
Additional details, including the suspect’s identity and what charges he was being booked on, were not immediately available.
