LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Heller turns down dark path

Dean Heller on Tuesday jumped on the far-right bandwagon and implied that President Joe Biden is a illegitimate president.

How can he say that when there was no fraud in the election process nationwide? He is doing this so he can get the backing of Donald Trump in the Nevada race for governor.

Heller said that Biden indicated that he does not think the midterm elections will be legitimate, because Biden said he couldn’t guarantee that the midterm elections would not be tainted. Therefore, Heller said, Democrats are to blame for sowing mistrust in the election process. But Biden said that because Republicans are making changes to voting laws that favor them.

All this is being said after Heller’s visit with Trump to push the “Big Lie” from the Republican Party, which began long before the November presidential election.

When the gubernatorial contest comes around, do we as Nevadans want a governor who still backs the “Big Lie” and answers to Trump? Do we want a governor who shoots beer bottles, denouncing vaccines or refusing to recognize the president as legitimate?

Let all of us, when we get to vote for a governor, use our brains.
