The girls high school flag football game on Thursday between Bonanza and host Shadow Ridge had some special visitors: The Raiders.

Some of the franchise’s former players and the Raiderettes stopped in, taking part in the coin toss, giving away team swag and signing autographs. Teyo Johnson, who played tight end in the early 2000s, was a hit with the autograph hounds. The visit was part of an initiative by the franchise to celebrate teams during the girls season, “giving high school coaches and teams the recognition that they deserve,” officials said in an email.

Shadow Ridge coach Matt Nighswonger was named the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week, which comes with a $1,000 donation to the program from the Las Vegas Raiders Foundation.
