Who are we kidding about breaching the debt in this country? I have no idea how this country runs financially, nor do I think the writers of the New York Times story, “Breaching the debt ceiling would be calamitous,” published Jan. 16 in the Sun.
The sad thing is we have politicians in the Senate and the House who have no ideas, either. We get politicians elected with big money year after year, and no one seems to care. All I know is we are in big trouble, and we have no one smart enough in office to get us out of this mess.
Every four years, some smart guy tells us how he is going to lead us to the promised land, and pow, he spends the next four years getting bashed by the opposition party, and the debt gets deeper.
I am 87 years old, and grew up with a strong mother. I say let’s get a woman in the White House, because all these men we have elected have failed us.
