As robbery notes go, the one a woman presented a Vegas bank teller last Friday is pretty good:
"Robbery, don't be a hero, start with a stack of 100s ... and a stack of 20s, no funny money."
This is the note Metro police say a white female in her 40s, heavy build, in a dark trench coat, wearing a tie and dark sunglasses, tried to slip across the counter at a bank in the area of Blue Diamond and Valley View.
Only the robbery was foiled. The Metro press release puts it like this: "The teller froze. The suspect appeared to get scared as an armed security guard entered the bank. She hurriedly exited without any money."
She was then seen getting into a black, four door, 700 series BMW with commemorative plates.
If you have any information regarding this robbery attempt, police ask you call the Metro Robbery Section at 828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 to remain anonymous.
