Two suspects in the Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 attempted robbery of a mini-mart near Smoke Ranch Drive have been linked to a string of other robberies in the Las Vegas valley. In addition to the two suspects identified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as 25-year-old Carlos Otero and 19-year-old Jonathan Perez, police linked a third suspect, 20-year-old Angel Arroyo, to the four-month long robbery spree that began in September 2007.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, both Otero and Perez were taken into police custody the night of Dec. 31 inside the business they had attempted to rob ‹ but Arroyo was not arrested until
later. All three suspects have been charged with counts of robbery, kidnapping, burglary and conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon.
