While it’s not the Big Easy, Las Vegas knows how to party and Mardi Gras will surely bring out some of the wildest and craziest partiers since New Year’s Eve. Clubs and restaurants around town will be breaking out the purple, gold and green beads in honor of Mardi Gras and Carnaval. Get an early jump on Fat Tuesday with some fun weekend parties to get you in the mood to indulge during Mardi Gras.

Saturday Feb. 21:

Big Easy Mardi Gras bash at Krave: Krave celebrates Fat Tuesday a little early with the Big Easy Mardi Gras bash. In the Lounge, Candybar will be giving away tickets to Club Skirts at the Dinah.

Children's Miracle Network Mardi Gras Fundraiser: The most established (and much-loved) fundraiser in Southern Nevada, this special evening of Mardi Gras magic has been popular for decades. Presented with sponsorship by Clark County Collection Services and The Tyler Foundation on behalf of the Pediatric Centers at St. Rose Hospitals, this black-tie gala provides entertainment galore, a superb dinner and magical auction.

Sushisamba's annual Carnaval celebration: Sushisamba's annual Carnaval celebration will feature live samba entertainment to celebrate the final day of Carnaval.

Monday, Feb. 23:

Party like it's Fat Tuesday at Mist: This Monday night, you can party like it’s Fat Tuesday at Mist at Mirage with a very special Mardi Gras edition of the weekly Rock Band tournament, where winners can get $250 in Light Group gift certificates.

Tuesday, Feb. 24:

Carnaval 2009 at Lavo: Industry Tuesdays presents Carnaval 2009 at Lavo in honor of Mardi Gras and Carnaval. Enjoy a Cachaca open bar from 11 p.m. until midnight and live samba dancers.

Fremont Street Experience celebrates Mardi Gras: Celebrates Mardi Gras New Orleans style at the Fremont Street Experience. Enjoy great live entertainment from David Poe Mardi Gras Band, The Pappion Louisiana Band, The Bob Sachs Dixieland Trio and Heather Burdette and Shawn Martin in addition to the world famous Viva Vision shows and various “Streetmosphere” including stilt walkers and jugglers.

Karaoke Fat Tuesday at McFadden's at the Rio: Dust off the old American Idol audition tapes and remember why you're a star so you can perform at Karaoke Fat Tuesday at McFadden's at the Rio. Celebrate the start of Mardi Gras with a Fat Tuesday blowout at McFadden's featuring an open bar from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. The lady who gets the most beads wins a cash prize.

Saturday, Feb. 28:

Break Your Lent Penance Party at McFadden's: For one crazy night, make an exception and party with your pals at McFadden's for a Break Your Lent Penance Party. From 10 p.m. until 12 a.m. ladies can enjoy an open bar for only $10, $20 for guys.
