A shoulder injury has forced Vitor Belfort to withdraw from a UFC middleweight title fight scheduled for April 10 at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Tatame.com first reported the news and it was later confirmed by UFC president Dana White via text message to Yahoo! Sports. Belfort had earned the title shot with a win over Rich Franklin at UFC 103 and was set to face current champ Anderson Silva, who has successfully defended the belt five times since 2006.
