Ads remind desert residents water doesn’t grow on trees

A campaign for the Southern Nevada Water Authority is urging Southern Nevadans to “Stay water smart” by considering the tangible values of water as well as the intangibles, including the future. Here’s a screen shot from one of the campaign’s ads.

An effort to promote water conservation among people who live and work in Southern Nevada offers a practical perspective rather than, say, the jocular suggestion during the 1960s to “save water, shower with a friend.”
