Holly Madison’s run as a Strip headliner comes to a close Oct. 21.

That is the date specified by BASE Entertainment co-CEO Scott Zeiger for Madison’s final appearance in “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood. In a phone conversation from his New York office today, Zeiger said the date was acceptable to Madison and the company that produces the topless show.

“Holly is very comfortable in herself and her ability to continue in the show through that date,” Zeiger said. “We will be announcing our casting change quite soon.”

Madison announced Aug. 28 that she is expecting her first child. For most of this year, she has been in a relationship with Electric Daisy Carnival founder Pasquale Rotella. She originally planned to perform in the show through the end of December.

Zeiger plans to replace Madison, the show’s central performer in the Bo Peep role since June 2009, with “other personalities and celebrities.” He said the role would remain topless and be performed in the same context as it has been with Madison as the star.

Those who step into the role will have live stage experience, Zeiger added, and dismissed two names that have been at the center of speculation for weeks as possible performers in the role -- Carmen Electra and Jenny McCarthy. Zeiger said there in Electra “is not being considered” and that McCarthy’s schedule precluded her from stepping into the show, at least in October.

“This will all happen very fast,” Zeiger said. “We’re having auditions and meetings, even today.”
