O.J. Simpson has one last chance to avoid Clark County Detention Center -- and that's before his trial even begins.
The Associated Press reports District Court Judge Jackie Glass this morning doubled Simpson's bail to $250,000 as a penalty for violating the terms of his previous bail agreement.
In September, Simpson promised the court he would not have any contact, direct or indirect, with victims, witnesses or co-defendants related to his alleged involvement in a robbery that month at Palace Station.
Simpson, however, later attempted to contact a co-defendant through a proxy: his bail bondsman.
If Simpson violates the bail agreement again -- assuming, of course, he can muster up the funds -- he will remain in the Clark County jail through, at a minimum, the conclusion of his trial. It's scheduled to begin in early April.
