Vegas Play of the Day: Brooklyn at Toronto

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Brooklyn Nets plus-3 at Toronto Raptors: $550 to win $500 : I love getting points with the better team, especially in a must-win playoff game when both squads will give a premium effort.

Brooklyn might be the lower-seeded team in this series, but the Nets have the more experienced players. They are built for a playoff run. On the other hand, Toronto’s players are relative newcomers to the postseason.

The series is even heading into today’s Game 5. Brooklyn won the first game 94-87 in Toronto. I think today's outcome will be similar.

Paul Pierce might be old, but he’s clutch in the playoff and can still score. It’s Brooklyn or bust, which I’m close to doing in our daily handicapping feature.
