UC Santa Barbara plus-4 at UC Irvine: $330 to win $300
The last time these two teams met, UC Santa Barbara’s Alan Williams scored 26 in a 20-point home victory. That started the Gauchos’ current 6-1 streak that I think will help carry them at least to a close loss.
I like the revenge factor for UC Irvine but not enough for the Anteaters to cover. Their defense is arguably the best in the Big West. Still, I don’t think they’re going to be able to keep Williams and the Gauchos at bay the entire game.
I see this as either a six-point UCSB win or a game that comes down to the final possession. Either way, I like the team getting four points.
Standings: Bern (13-6, $11,720), Keefer (6-9, $8,497), Brewer (5-10-2, $6,910)
