SMU minus-7 at South Florida: $550 to win $500
I haven’t seen either of these teams play this season and I’m not a fan of backing road favorites, but it seems like one of the best values on the board and here’s why:
I always feel good about siding with the superior coach in college basketball and SMU certainly has that in Larry Brown. In his second season at SMU, Brown has the Mustangs at 16-4 overall, 5-2 in the American Athletic Conference and on a five-game winning streak overall.
Sophomore forward Markus Kennedy is on an efficiency tear of late and guard Nic Moore is also playing well. Add in SMU’s 17-point victory against South Florida at home earlier this month, and it seems like there’s only one way to go in this one.
