Our Play of the Day unsparingly marches on despite repeated setbacks.

South Point, the feature’s official lines provider, would gladly welcome this action through three weeks as we’re now down nearly $2,300 combined. I’ve accounted for the bulk of the losses, but will try to salvage some with a midweek NBA play.

76ers vs. Celtics over 202 points: $440 to win $400

In three games over the last week, Boston is shooting a dreadful 39 percent from the field. Nothing could remedy the offensive affliction better than a matchup with Philadelphia.

The 76ers are quite possibly the worst defensive team in the NBA, sacrificing a league-high 109.9 points per game to their opponents. They’re surprisingly decent on offense at times, however, with Rookie of the Year frontrunner Michael Carter-Williams regularly thrilling with help from versatile veterans Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young.

Of course, Philadelphia’s offense passing as average intermittently could have to do with the fact that Carter-Williams and his cronies employ the NBA’s fastest pace. A maximum number of possessions are more than fine for the sake of the over.

Boston may try to slow the game down, but it’s not as if the Celtics are defensive stalwarts. Yet, in Philadelphia’s last 25 games, this is the second lowest total.

Take advantage.
