New York Yankees -105 vs. Cincinnati Reds: $420 to win $400 : It could be considered a poor investment to bet against Reds starting pitcher Johnny Cueto, who has been one of baseball’s best this season. This bet, however, is more against Cincinnati.
New York is playing for a three-game sweep of the Reds in what I believe is a must-win for the Yankees. They are fighting for a playoff spot out of the tough American League East, meaning games at home against inferior opponents —that’s you, Cincy — can’t be taken lightly.
The Reds have struggled to score runs all season, especially with Joey Votto on the disabled list and Jay Bruce mostly inconsistent.
Look for the Yankees to stay hot. And the Reds to continue struggling to produce offense.
