Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.
Miami Heat minus-7 vs. Indiana Pacers: $440 to win $400
For Game 2, I told you why the Heat would cover the 2.5-point spread and then proceeded to bet the over. It was dumb.
I don’t feel nearly as good about the Heat laying 7 tonight as I did in Indiana on Tuesday, but I’d still rather be on Miami’s side. The Pacers have played well this series, certainly better than most people expected, but I think we’re all waiting for the blowout game that has to be coming at some point.
Throw in the uncertainty regarding Paul George’s status and I feel confident I’m starting out on the right side tonight.
Standings: Bern (25-18-1, $11,100), Keefer (22-25, $8,558), Brewer (18-24-3, $5,990)
