Bryce Harper reacts after he hit a three-run home run during the eighth inning Saturday in Washington. The Nationals won 3-0.

We’re entering the third season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won the 2015-2016 season, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015. Bern stepped away in the middle of the 2016-2017 season with a 16-12 record and $13,317 bankroll, with Mike Grimala taking his place.

Washington Nationals minus-150: $900 to win $600 : The Nationals have won 10 of their last 11 games, including scoring more than 10 runs in every game to sweep the Colorado Rockies on the road. Trea Turner has 14 hits in his last 30 at-bats with 12 runs scored in giving the Nationals a distinct advantage at the top of the lineup, and local product Bryce Harper is batting a league-best .418 with eight home runs and 25 RBIs.

But it’s more than Turner and Harper. The Nats (16-6) rank first in MLB in average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and runs scored. The Mets, meanwhile, are struggling with injuries — including to slugger Yoenis Cespedes, who likely will miss tonight’s game. Many predicted New York would reach the World Series, but it is in last place of the National League East after the first month of the season.

Betting baseball is all about riding streaks. The Nats are not. The Mets are not.

Current Standings: Grimala (9-11, $9,633), Granger (15-19-1, $8,247), Keefer (42-36-3, $7,880), Brewer (29-29-1, $7,485)
