We’ve entered the fourth season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.
Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won back-to-back titles in the 2015-2016 and 2016-17 seasons, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015.
Baltimore Orioles plus-117 at Los Angeles Angels: $500 to win $585
Baltimore starting pitcher Dylan Bundy hasn't been special this season (10-8, 4.24 ERA, 1.22 WHIP), but the Angels' offense will make him look like a Cy Young contender. Los Angeles is 28th in the league in OPS (.707), and the lack of power throughout the lineup — aside from Mike Trout and Albert Pujols — gives Bundy the upper hand in this matchup.
Bundy has given up his fair share of home runs this season (21 in 127.1 IP), but he can pitch carefully to Trout and Pujols and challenge the rest of the Angels to beat him. I don't think they'll be able to do it.
Current Standings: Granger (4-4, $11,657), Keefer (4-2-1, $10,795), Grimala (1-1, $10,010), Brewer (3-4, $8,780)
