The Seattle Mariners’ Kyle Seager hits a home run against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.

We’re entering the fourth season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won back-to-back titles in the 2015-2016 and 2016-17 seasons, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015.

Seattle Mariners plus-150 vs. Houston Astros: $500 to win $750: The Astros may have a claim to being the best team in baseball, but they haven't been playing like it with Lance McCullers on the mound. Houston has lost the last five games started by the big righty, including a July 17 decision in which McCullers was roughed up by the Mariners to the tune of four earned runs in 4.2 innings.

In McCullers' last five starts, he's 0-2 with an 8.63 ERA. The Mariners don't have a fearsome lineup (4.63 runs per game, 16th in MLB), but they should be able to handle the spiraling McCullers.

Current Standings: Granger (6-6, $11,595), Keefer (7-4-1, $11,185), Grimala (2-2, $10,095), Brewer (6-7, $8,660)
