Denver Broncos plus-7 at Los Angeles Chargers: $440 to win $400

This was a game that didn’t necessarily jump out at me earlier in the week, but I’ve grown to like more with time to ponder the week 11 slate.

Denver might be the league’s most undervalued team, as its 3-6 straight-up record is largely a result of going 2-4 in games decided by less than a touchdown. Los Angeles isn’t necessarily overvalued, but it sure is getting a lot of attention all of a sudden as bettors wise up to how efficient it’s been during a 7-2 straight-up campaign.

That usually signals it’s about time to sell-high on a team. This is additionally a good spot for Denver, coming off of a bye week.

The Broncos don’t have one of their vintage defenses of the last few years, but it’s still above average and more than capable of slowing Philip Rivers and the Chargers to an extent. Let’s not forget Denver only lost to Kansas City by a total of 11 points in two meetings and contained the NFL’s best offense better than any other team.

The most likely result for this game is a three- or four-point win for the Chargers, putting the value squarely on the other side.

Current Standings: Keefer (16-14-2, $9,006), Brewer (8-11-1, $7,200), Grimala (10-10, $5,705)
