Los Angeles Rams minus-7 vs. Dallas Cowboys: $550 to win $500

The Dallas Cowboys have completely overachieved over the last half of the season.

Congratulations to Dallas for doing so. Condolences to Dallas for the impending end of its season.

The Cowboys season will end tonight in the Coliseum. The only question, in my mind, is whether it ends with a loss of more than a touchdown.

On paper, it should.

From a talent standpoint, the Rams are more than a touchdown better than the Cowboys. From a coaching standpoint, the Rams are more than a touchdown better than the Cowboys. From a situational standpoint, the Rams are more than a touchdown better than the Cowboys.

Don’t underestimate the value of the bye the Rams received over the first round of the playoffs. This is a team that’s spent most of the year severely banged up; they can use every little advantage in getting a healthier.

At almost any other point of the year, the Rams would be at least a 7.5-point home favorite over the Cowboys. In fact, a few months ago, Los Angeles would have given double digits and probably drawn most of the action.

Don’t pay a premium to back the Cowboys.

Current Standings: Brewer (15-12-1, $11,760), Keefer (24-19-2, $11,256), Emerson (1-3, $6,862), Grimala (13-13-1, $4,630)
