Frankie Moreno to host the Las Vegas Academy of Arts Premiere Gala on October 28 at the Rio Hotel and Casino
LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Academy of the Arts will host its Premiere “Experience the Arts” Gala on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 5:30 PM in the Pavilion Ballroom of the Rio Hotel and Casino. The Gala will benefit the Academy with funds going towards the purchase of instruments, instructional and musical technology, a recording studio, and a new sound system for the Performing Arts Center.
The evening will begin with an open bar cocktail reception in the Pavilion Ballroom where guests will have a chance to mingle, bid in the silent auction, and enjoy music from Academy students. The cocktail reception will be followed by dinner and an evening of entertainment, hosted by Las Vegas Headliner of the Year, Frankie Moreno, who will be joined by more than 400 students who will be performing with Clint Holmes, the Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year; Lacey Schwimmer (Dancing with the Stars); Bob Torti (Rock of Ages); Mac King (comedy magician); and Kristen Hertzenberg (Phantom of the Opera – the Las Vegas Spectacular). The Gala honors AEG Live and its resident artists, who have been partners and supporters of the Academy. On October 11, 2013 famed artist, Domingo Zapata, donated his first in a series of ten paintings of the Las Vegas sign to the Las Vegas Academy. This painting will be auctioned at the Gala.
“The funds raised through the Gala are vital in ensuring that the Las Vegas Academy students have every opportunity to grow as musicians, artists, dancers, actors, and people,” explains Scott Walker, the Academy Principal. “We are so appreciative of the support we have from partners, like AEG and Caesars Entertainment. The community makes our ongoing success possible.”
