Published on Wed, May 7, 2014 (8:41 a.m.)

Las Vegas, Nevada: Ken Baxter, also known as the “Rocket Man” purchased British Billionaire Sir Richard Branson’s first Virgin Galactic ticket, will be featured at the Super May Day Hero Partnership at Tivoli Village in Summerlin Las Vegas on Saturday, May 10th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in front of The Crepe Las Vegas. British Billionaire Sir Richard Branson's first spaceflight is fast approaching, and the Virgin Galactic Founder has his Federal Aviation Administration permits in place. Ken Baxter and Sir Richard Branson will reach approximately 100 miles above earth later this year, demonstrating their shared vision of pioneering spirit, technological innovation and sense of adventure.

Sir Richard Branson says the idea was the “beginning of a whole new era of space travel” and was “the most ridiculously exciting thing that I’ve done in my lifetime”. Sir Richard Branson’s pioneering commercial spaceline, Virgin Galactic is an American-based, British-owned commercial spaceflight company within Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group which plans to provide suborbital spaceflights to space tourists, suborbital launches for space science missions, and orbital launches of small satellites. Virgin Galactic's spacecraft is launched from a large aeroplane, giving the spacecraft more initial speed and altitude than if it were launched from the ground. Further in the future, Virgin Galactic hopes to offer orbital human spaceflights as well. Ken Baxter will venture into outer space in Richard Branson’s 2014 Virgin Galactic Space Tour. Few men in recent years have played a more significant role in Southern Nevada’s Home Industry than Ken Baxter, founder Performance Marketing. In fact, since 1973 Performance Marketing has completed the sales for over 216 communities and over 56,000 residential homes.

Las Vegas entrepreneur and philanthropist Ken Baxter is building a better tomorrow. Ken Baxter and his lovely wife, Linda, are Co-Founders of K & L Baxter Family Foundation, and public charities Made in America and Green Global. “Research repeatedly demonstrates that if we all buy just 5% more USA products we will create one million new jobs directly and one million new jobs indirectly,” proclaimed Ken Baxter.

Rocket Man will be wearing his space suit during May Day and displaying his Model S Tesla, advocating for Americans to buy electric vehicles. Rocket Man passed all the physical and medical tests for space travel. “Here in our Southwest we need more electric vehicle charging stations.” Green Global and Made in America are seeking to raise funding for fast charging solar electric vehicle charging stations along Interstate 15 and connecting Reno to Laughlin via Clark County.
