Founded 1776 launches Made in USA business with "Sweet Freedom" block party at Art Square on July 4th
Published on Thu, Jul 3, 2014 (6:38 a.m.)Founded 1776, a Las Vegas based subscription commerce startup, is hosting a launch party on July 4th from Noon – 1:30 pm at Art Square (1025 S. First St). Festivities include a musical set by the All-Togethers; specials on beer, hot dogs, and veggie dogs at Mingo Kitchen & Lounge; and free limited edition Polaroid pictures taken by the Las Vegas Camera Club until supplies last.
Founded 1776 is entering the growing market for Made in USA products by introducing the first subscription box dedicated to helping consumers discover American made household goods & lifestyle accessories. The company works like a magazine subscription and will deliver boxes of curated Made in USA products on a quarterly basis.
“We want to make it easier for consumers to support our economy and uphold the best aspects of U.S. production values, including demand for quality & safety, respect for human rights, and regard for the environment,” explained Litt.
The company has been running a 30 day pre-order campaign at founded1776.crowdtilt.com, which concludes on July 4th with the official launch party. They broke their pre-order goal of $3,500 and are still going strong.
Each box is priced at $33 and will include three to four household goods and lifestyle accessories with a total retail value of $35-$40. Each item is from a different company, including established and up-and-coming brands such as Field Notes, Maptote, and Runyon Canyon Apparel.
“Normally, if you were on your own trying to find the products in our boxes, you would spend hours looking for several websites and pay shipping costs for each item. Instead, we’re scouring the country for you,” noted Whitmore.
A free raffle drawing for Made in USA products not featured in the boxes will be open for participation by anyone in the United States who signs up for the company’s newsletter at Founded1776.com.
