Animal Behavior College Offers Las Vegas Pet Lovers
Exciting Career Opportunities

Santa Clarita, CA, September 5, 2012 – It is a great time to find an exciting career working with animals. A representative from Animal Behavior College (ABC) will be on hand at booth #583 to discuss pet career opportunities at SuperZoo, the National Show for Pet Retailers, September 11-13, 2012. ABC is the largest animal career vocational school in the United States and offers three exciting career opportunities to animal lovers; Certified Dog Trainer, Certified Veterinary Assistant, and Certified Pet Groomer. SuperZoo will be held at the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Bayside South, Halls C & D, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

ABC President, Steve Appelbaum says, “During these difficult financial times an excellent industry to explore that is prospering, and in fact growing in size is the pet business. According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), the overall spending in the pet industry grew by 6.2 percent from $45.53 billion in 2009 to $48.35 billion in 2010. Total spending exceeded $50 billion in 2011, a 5.1% increase, with continued growth projected for 2012. There are an estimated 70 million dogs, 87 million cats, 16 million birds, and 7 million horses in the United States alone. That is a huge number of animals and with them come dozens of career path opportunities. With more than 23,000 veterinary hospitals and approximately 25,000 grooming salons, animal industry workers have numerous opportunities to ply their trade all over the country.”

ABC’s innovative curriculum reaches a broad spectrum of students; ranging anywhere from recent high school graduates, to educators and veterinarians. Since its inception 14 years ago, ABC has evolved alongside the ever-growing animal industry, meeting the needs of its enthusiasts. To date, the school has helped over 10,500 animal lovers pursue careers in the field, ensuring a brighter future for its students, and the lives of the animals they touch.
