Easter Seals Walk With Me fundraiser
Easter Seals Nevada hosts the fourth annual “Walk With Me” event, a fun-filled, two mile walk and Easter carnival for the whole family to benefit more than 6,000 Nevadans living with disabilities. This year’s event will also feature a special performance by School of Rock, the local chapter of the music school inspiring kids to rock on stage and in life. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. with speeches by Brian Patchett, President and CEO of Easter Seals Nevada and families served by the organization. At 9:30 a.m., the walk begins and all participants will have the opportunity to meet and walk with Easter Seals’ 2012 “Honorary Ambassadors” – individuals who have directly benefited from the support received through Easter Seals’ programs. This year more than 500 people are expected to walk for disability awareness. At 10:15 a.m., for just $5, children can participate in Easter Seals Nevada’s Easter Carnival featuring an Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, activities for the family, food, music and more.
