Sunny 106.5 Ice Cream Sunday

Free ice cream and fun are up for grabs at this year’s Sunny 106.5 Ice Cream Sunday. The public is invited to the family event at The Promenade linear park inside the Providence master planned community in northwest Las Vegas. The park is located at 7195 Egan Crest Way (Egan Crest and Elkhorn). Look for the large green balloon.

It’s Ice Cream Sunday’s 10th anniversary and third year at Providence. The event features delicious frozen treats from Meadow Gold, plus a variety of vendors focused on entertaining and educating families. Activities include bounce houses, games, face painting, balloon animals, ice cream-eating contest, and other entertainment. Some Providence homebuilders will host booths with various activities and information about the great homes and current incentives available.

Attendees are invited to bring new or gently used books for Spread the Word Nevada. The nonprofit organization promotes literacy to make it possible for all children in Nevada to experience the magic of books. Visit to learn more.

The Promenade linear park features mature trees, formally planted landscapes, children’s play area and shaded seating areas. The Providence main entrance and information center are located at 7051 N. Hualapai Way (I-215 North Beltway and Hualapai). To get to The Promenade, go north on Hualapai and west on Elkhorn Rd. The park entrance is at the Elkhorn/Egan Crest Way intersection.

This year’s Ice Cream Sunday sponsors include Sunny 106.5 FM, Providence Master Planned Community, Providence Master Homeowners Association, and Meadow Gold.
