Sunny 106.5 Ice Cream Sunday
Free ice cream and fun are up for grabs at this year’s Sunny 106.5 Ice Cream Sunday. The park is located at 7195 Egan Crest Way (Egan Crest and Elkhorn). Look for the large green balloon.
It’s Ice Cream Sunday’s 10th anniversary and third year at Providence. Activities include bounce houses, games, face painting, balloon animals, ice cream-eating contest, and other entertainment. Some Providence homebuilders will host booths with various activities and information about the great homes and current incentives available.
Attendees are invited to bring new or gently used books for Spread the Word Nevada. The nonprofit organization promotes literacy to make it possible for all children in Nevada to experience the magic of books. Visit www.spreadthewordnevada.org to learn more.
The Promenade linear park features mature trees, formally planted landscapes, children’s play area and shaded seating areas. The Providence main entrance and information center are located at 7051 N. Developed by Focus Property Group, Providence is one of the best-selling master planned communities in the country. The 1,200-acre community will include nearly 7,500 residences at build-out. Presently, it has more than 2,000 single family homes, two multi-family complexes and a neighborhood commercial center adjacent to an already established network of retail, commercial, educational and entertainment destinations. Inspired after the traditional “New England” style neighborhoods of the northeast, Providence boasts tree-lined streets, community parks, walking trails, and a sense of community rooted in the traditions of small town America and reminiscent of the classic American literary theme of westward exploration.
