The Venetian's new resident comedy series marks the first time in the entertainment history of Las Vegas that the comedy stage will be taken exclusively by female performers. The new series will debut July 11 with appearances by daytime television personality Wendy Williams and will bring regular stand-up comedy performances to The Sands Showroom from an opening slate of 14 critically acclaimed comediennes.

Wendy Williams (July 11) Mother, wife, media mogul, entrepreneur, performer and best-selling author, Wendy Williams is best known for her long-running talk show The Wendy Williams Show. Named one of the “35 Most Powerful People in Media” by The Hollywood Reporter in both 2012 and 2013, Wendy’s nationally-syndicated weekday program was hailed a “breakthrough in daytime” by The New York Times when it launched in 2009. Heather McDonald (July 18 & 19) Heather McDonald is best known for her appearances on E!’s Chelsea Lately and has become the breakout star of After Lately. She is also a best-selling author: her debut book, “You’ll Never Blue Ball in this Town Again”, spent 7 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. McDonald’s follow up book titled “MY INAPPROPRIATE LIFE” was released last year. McDonald also contributed a chapter to the NY Times #1 bestselling book “Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me.” McDonald has been writing for Us Weekly’s “Fashion Police”, as well as the Chelsea Lately show for 8 years. Iliza Schlesinger (July 18 & 19) Iliza Shlesinger is the youngest and only female comedian to hold the title of Last Comic Standing. She was the host of CBS’s syndicated comedy dating show Excused. She has been seen on her own half-hour Comedy Central Presents special, as well as Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Who Gets the Last Laugh? Tickets available from $52.25-$96.25.
Rita Rudner (July 25 & 26), One of the country’s top comedians and a New York Times bestselling author, Rita Rudner is also an award-winning television personality, screenwriter, playwright, Broadway dancer, and actress. She performs at The Venetian in Las Vegas where she has sold over a million tickets. Tickets available from $52.25-$96.25.
