Kraftwerk performs at the Chelsea in 3-D. The multimedia project Kraftwerk was founded in Germany by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider within the experimental art scene of the late ‘60s. Regarded as revolutionary for its lack of acoustic instrumentation, the group is considered a pioneer of electronic music. Kraftwerk has achieved worldwide recognition for its self-described “robot pop,” most recently winning a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. Ever the technological innovators, the German electronic music legends have added a 3-D component to their concert experience. These multimedia presentations are considered to be a unique form of contemporary art performance, involving a perfectly synchronized audio-visual spectacle complete with pristine digital sound and 3-D projections. It is this pure electronic art-rave that epitomizes Kraftwerk's musical and technical innovation.
3-D glasses will be provided to attendees.
