...And No One Else Wanted to Paint

The late ’80s and early ’90s were a hell of a good time for Las Vegas’ underground punk scene. Just in time for Punk Rock Bowling, the artwork of Jesse Michaels—singer for Operation Ivy, Big Rig and Common Rider—will go on display with this opening reception (and stay up through June 4) alongside the works of longtime local (and non-local) punks. From Dan Sites, known for his Rich Kids on LSD album artwork, to FSP’s Danny Breeden, Schizoid’s Greg Higgins and Poison 13’s Tim Kerr, it will celebrate a scene that paved the way for many of the Vegas musicians who followed.
