Former San Francisco Poet Laureate Jack Hirschman will moderate a discussion on January 21 following a screening of the film And When I Die, I Won't Stay Dead, which tells the story of Beat poet Bob Kaufman. The film will screen as part of the Jewish Film Festival.
Hirschman was a friend to Kaufman and a well-known translator and activist poet. He will also read from his work the day before at Winchester Cultural Center, on January 20 at 7 p.m. There will also be a separate screening event on January 20th at Nevada State College. All events are free and open to all ages.
