USDA NRCS Conservation Stewardship Workshops
The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will be hosting free workshops in Las Vegas, Moapa Valley and Pahrump:
Moapa Valley: January 25, 10 a.m., at University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, 1897 N. Moapa Valley Blvd., Logandale, NV 89021
Las Vegas: January 26, 10 a.m., at Natural Resources Conservation Service Field Office, 7080 La Cienega St., Las Vegas, NV 89119
Pahrump: January 27, 10 a.m., at Bob Ruud Community Center, Room A, 150 North Highway 160, Pahrump, NV 89060
Through the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), agricultural producers, farmers, ranchers and forest landowners may earn payments for actively managing, maintaining and expanding conservation activities like cover crops, ecologically-based pest management, irrigation management pollinator and beneficial insect habitat and prescribed grazing management--all while maintaining active agriculture production on their land.
