Endless rent increases are driving tenants onto street

The apartment owners should take this into consideration before they force a dependable tenant out of the complex, then face the extra expenses to redo the apartment for someone else who might not pay their rent on time, break their lease or move in six months so they have it all to do again.

Wouldn't they be money ahead to freeze the reliable tenant's rent instead of putting out all that money for redecorating? To me, it makes more sense to keep the reliable tenant.

I live on a fixed income, I'm a senior citizen, and I pay my rent two or three weeks before it's due every month. But each month, I never know if I'll be notified of another rent increase. I understand the owner has his or her expenses, but if the rent keeps going up, I'll soon end up as one of Las Vegas' homeless, living on the streets.

Please help us understand what we can do to prevent us becoming one of the homeless here in the city of big development.
