UNLV faculty stars in chamber recital

The concert is part of the Chamber Music Southwest Series and will take place in the Artemus Ham Hall on the UNLV campus.

The solos featured on the program are the Karl Pilss "Rondo Alla Caccia" for horn and piano, and the Franz Schubert Sonate for Arpeggione and Pian, transcribed for bassoon. Both solo works will be accompanied by pianist Lynn Trippy.

In addition, the concert will include two chamber works. "Horn Vibes" (for horn and vibraphone) will be performed by Lynn Huntzinger and percussionist John Beck. Violinist Teresa Ling, the UNLV faculty violin/viola professor, will join both soloists on the "Nocturne" for horn, bassoon and viola trio by Karol Kurpinski.

Huntzinger and McKay are members of the Sierra Winds and the woodwind quintet, which is in residence at UNLV. In addition, each serve as a principal member of their section for the Nevada Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are $10 for adult general admission and $9 for students, faculty and seniors. For more information, call the Performing Arts Center box office, 895-3801.
