The Nevada Commission for Economic Development is sponsoring a Procurement Outreach Program 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 21 at the Palace Station.
Nevada firms will have an opportunity to meet with three prime federal contractors, Bechtel Nevada, TRW and Loral Inc. Ray Horner, state director of the program, said Bechtel Nevada alone expects to award $80 million in contracts to Nevada businesses over the next three years.
Early registration by May 1 is $50. Registration after that is $75. For details, call 486-2700.
Joining in panel discussions will be representatives of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Veterans Administration, Nellis Air Force Base and the Fallon Naval Air Station.
The U.S. Department of Commerce also will discuss the international marketplace for Nevada products and services.
