Net losses mounting for Rebels

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The 49th-ranked UNLV wo men's tennis team lost its fifth straight match, 5-1, to 29th-ranked Arizona State Wednesday.

The Lady Rebels' only point came at the top singles spot where No. 15 Marianne Vallin came from behind to defeat No. 36 Reka Csersneys, 6-7, 7-5, 6-1.

Vallin, who on Tuesday upset top-ranked Vicky Maes of fourth-ranked Arizona, was down 5-3 to Cseresneys before storming back for the set and then took the third for the win.

UNLV, now 8-12, closes out its regular season with a home finale against San Diego State on April 20.
