Jack Vaughan

Jack Vaughan, 77, of Boulder City, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Ottumwa, Iowa. A 21-year resident, he was a retired aerospace engineer, an Army veteran, a lifetime member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks 1682 and the Rotary Club, both in Boulder City, and the Henderson Knights of Columbus Rosary Council.

He is survived by his wife, Marie N.; two daughters, Nikki Vaughan of Canyon Country, Calif., and Patricia Nagy of West Los Angeles; one sister, Kathleen Calvert; and five grandchildren.

Mass was celebrated 9 a.m. today in St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Burial followed in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to St. Jude's Ranch for Children Inc., 100 St. Jude, Boulder City, NV 89005.
