Check-in is 6 a.m. at the Fiesta on Rancho Drive at Lake Mead Boulevard in North Las Vegas. The 10K race will begin at 7 a.m.; the 2-mile fun run will begin at 7:15 a.m.
Between 500 and 750 runners are expected in the 10K Menudo Run, which is a Grand Prix race. The race will enable members of the Las Vegas Track Club to earn points.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each division.
Entry fee is $23. Cost for Las Vegas Track Club members is $15. Fee for walkers is $15.
All proceeds will benefit the Latino Peace Officers Association, a nonprofit organization that supports a scholarship program, charities and youth groups. The association also makes contributions to families of critically injured or slain police officers.
