Blame parents and child for trespassing injury

It was and still is the child's fault. Those dogs were in their yard and in their own territory.

As a dog lover and owner, I have gone to great lengths to protect my dogs from getting out of their yard as Kari (the owner of the rottweilers) has done.

Not only are my neighbors safe or any passerby that may be walking by my home, my dogs are safe from anyone who may harass, hit or torment them in any way.

Evidently, it's clear that this child and his friends have been warned numerous times to stay out of that yard and to stop sticking their hands through the fence.

It's a shame that this boy got bitten, but a 12-year-old can read and does know right from wrong.

Not only is this child to blame, but also are his parents at fault for not correcting him a little sooner; then perhaps this never would have happened.

Why punish the dogs when they were not at fault?

After this experience, I'll bet the child won't be jumping the fence again.
