Hop-scotching scheduling (from the non-California schools in the WAC) to those in the defunct Southwest Conference makes little sense.
UNLV is not a major, independent Division 1-A school, as are any of the other universities in the WAC. The fact that WAC schools are forced to play without continuing year-to-year rivalries says something is amiss. Those actions kill attendance and create lukewarm feelings toward WAC football.
