Nioma Baker

Nioma Baker, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 26, 1946, in DeKalb, Ill. A resident for 26 years, she was a government postal employee.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn; one daughter, Judy Baker of Las Vegas; two sons, John Baker of Las Vegas and Brian Baker of Cedar City, Utah; her parents, Evelyn and Sidney Olson of Roselle, N.J.; one sister, Pamela Staggs of Norfolk, Va.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

The family suggests donations to KILA 90.5 Christian Radio Station, Focus on the Family.

Ervin Vere 'Barney' Barnhurst

Ervin Vere "Barney" Barnhurst, 78, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born July 7, 1921, in Hatch, Utah. A resident for 50 years, he was a bar manager and a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff Barnhurst of Henderson and Cal McGrath of Rockford, Ill.; one daughter, Joyce McDonough of Las Vegas; four sisters, Ruth Wilson of Hatch, Lagrand Wood and Ann Rives, both of Las Vegas, and Beth Weideman of Henderson; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Civic Center and Tonopah LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Almeda 'Meda' Deen Burt

Almeda "Meda" Deen Burt, 88, of Ferron, Utah, died Sunday in Ferron. She was born May 9, 1911, in Omaha, Neb. A former Henderson resident, she was a retired piano teacher, played the organ in the LDS chapel and enjoyed genealogy.

She is survived by one son, Richard Deen of Santa Ana, Calif.; two granddaughters, Lisa Farr of Ferron and Andee Bateman of Indianapolis; one grandson, David Max Deen of Southern Pines, N.C.; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. in Memory Gardens. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

James E. Davis

James E. Davis, 49, of Las Vegas died Nov. 30 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 26, 1949, in Iowa. A resident for one year, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his parents, Maxine and James Davis Sr. of Amargosa Valley; and one sister, Wanda Vinhateirs of California.

Kristen Marie Donnolo

Kristen Marie Donnolo, 30, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. She was born Jan. 22, 1969, in Boston. A resident for 25 years, she was a clerical worker.

She is survived by her parents, Loretta and Joseph Donnolo, and two brothers, Joseph Donnolo III and Mark Donnolo, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be noon Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Anthony Frageorgia Sr.

Anthony Frageorgia Sr., 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 27, 1908, in New York City. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired barber shop owner-operator.

He is survived by one daughter, Beverly Fedel of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; two sons, Anthony Frageorgia Jr. of Newbury Park, Calif., and Richard Frageorgia of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one sister, Mollie Valfredo of Cranston, R.I.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

John N. Ginex

John N. Ginex, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1930, in New Jersey. A resident for seven years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; two sons, Edward Nelson and Jeffrey LaGrand; two daughters, Agnes Nelson and Sharonlee LeGrand; one brother, Charles Ginex, and one sister, Teresa O'Malley, both of New Jersey; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Margaret 'Marge' Golisano

Margaret "Marge" Golisano, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sisters, Mary DiMaria of Rochester and Jennie Balliano and Jean Calabra, both of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Charles Golisano of Rochester and Nate Golisano and Joseph Golisano, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Martin F. Ilacqua

Martin F. Ilacqua, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Geneva, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired furniture salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa; one daughter, Mary Ann Cape of Penfield, N.Y.; and one sister, Anna Lewis of Geneva.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens.

Phyllis A. Jablunsky

Phyllis A. Jablunsky, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Swissvale, Pa. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Deaf Community of Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son Paul L. Jablunsky of Fredricksburg, Va.; one daughter-in-law, Laurie; and her special friend, Mutsey of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Marjorie E. Kerce, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 4, 1920, in Avery, Okla. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired civil service personnel manager.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph K. Jr.; one son, Phillip E. Kerce of Tehachapi, Calif.; one brother, Virgil Walters of Marina, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Vernice Loufek

Vernice Loufek, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 18, 1913, in Iowa. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Steven Loufek of Las Vegas; one daughter, Mary Lou Fazel of Orinda, Calif.

Shirley Overmyer

Shirley Overmyer, 64, of Las Vegas died Nov. 12 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by one brother, Gene Overmyer of California.

Paciencia 'Lola' Pallingayan

Paciencia "Lola" Pallingayan, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 19, 1914, in the Philippines. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Rema Armamento, and two sons, Loid Pallingayan and Merlin Pallingayan, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Adelina Cartagena of the Philippines; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2:30-8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Robert Thomas Schaefer

Robert Thomas Schaefer, 41, of Las Vegas died Dec. 9 in Las Vegas. He was born July 18, 1958, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a dealer.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Schaefer and Ally Schaefer, and his father, Robert Schaefer, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Gail A. Guajardo of Sarasota, Fla.

Charles A. Sessions Jr.

Charles A. Sessions Jr., 86, of Pahrump died Dec. 3 in Hurricane, Utah. He was born Feb. 7, 1913, in Northville, Mich. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired bus driver for the Simi Valley California School District , owner of Argen Kennels and breeder of dachshunds.

He is survived by one daughter, Janet Kirby of Waterford, Mich.; two sons, James Sessions of Pahrump and Charles A. Sessions III of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Rosalie Electa Stinson

Rosalie Electa Stinson, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 26, 1922, in Detroit. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired international travel agent for TWA for 30 years, a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and the TWA Retirees Association.

She is survived by one sister, Gayle Kristensen of Laguna Woods, Calif.; one niece, Amanda Boutwell of Purvis, Miss.; and one nephew, Michael Musson of Laguna Hills.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Elois P. Sykes

Elois P. Sykes, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1927, in Delhi, La. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired owner-operator of Sykes Community Store since 1976, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and several other civic organizations and was a church usher at Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Lee Sykes of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bethel Baptist Church, 400 W. Adams Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon in Palm Memorial Park.

Regina S. Tokarski

Regina S. Tokarski, 83, of Logandale died Sunday in Logandale. She was born May 7, 1916, in Cleveland. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Swift and Abbe Barnett, both of Logandale; one son, Karl Tokarski; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mary M. Toth, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 26, 1916, in New Brunswick, N.J. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene E.; one son, Eugene M. Toth of Los Angeles; three daughters, Carolyn E. Rhodes of Los Angeles, Marilyn I. Toth of Las Vegas and Jocelyn B. Farley of Caldwell, N.J.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Scottie Mae Williams, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. A resident for seven years, she was born July 31, 1943, in Vicksburg, Miss.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Faye Williams-Watford of Antioch, Calif., and Carolyn Griffin of Las Vegas; two sons, Craig Griffin and Damone Griffin, and her mother, Emma Flenoy, all of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.

Marshall H. Wooldridge

Marshall H. Wooldridge, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 1, 1935, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for two years, he was an engineer for J.A. Jones Construction for nearly 30 years, an Army veteran, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a U.S. Naval Academy graduate.

He is survived by three daughters, Yoanna Wooldridge, Yulianna Wooldridge and Yoli Wooldridge, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Marion Lee Duvall of Dallas; one brother, Edmund Tyler Wooldridge of Annapolis; and three grandchildren.
