New York-New York is upgrading guest rooms, increasing meeting-room space, adding a restaurant and expanding its invited-guest lounge.
The Gotham-themed resort on the Las Vegas Strip is owned by MGM Grand Inc.
New York-New York also is shifting its race and sports book to the keno lounge area to make room for the restaurant and meeting space, while its trademark "New York-New York Slot Exchange" cashier area is moving closer to the front desk.
The renovations, part of a marketing plan to increase business for year-end Millennium celebrations, will include upgrades of 287 rooms and 21 suites, as well as an increase in the number of penthouses to 12 from eight.
