A realignment of Wynn Road south of Flamingo is under way as the owners of the Fiesta hotel-casino prepare a 30-acre site for a new casino opposite the Rio and the Gold Coast.
George Maloof, president of the family owned Fiesta, said he doesn't expect to start construction of the new casino until next spring. Details of the project haven't been disclosed.
The Maloof family owns 12 acres on one side of Wynn Road and 18 on the other, and received county permission to realign the road to facilitate construction of the casino.
