Sergio V. Alvarez

Sergio V. Alvarez, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Cline, Utah. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired high school teacher, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Elks and Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Helen L.; four daughters, Debra Sthultz, Carolyn Alvarez, Teresa Moore and Barbara Partain, all of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Cheri Banks

Cheri Banks, 56, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 5, 1947, in New Albany, Ind. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; two daughters, Jer Strange of Las Vegas and Maryanne Pickett; five sons, Paul Strange, Michael Strange, Jeffrey Strange, Dennis Strange and Spencer Strange; and 13 grandchildren.

Stella Christodoulou

Stella Christodoulou, 33, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born July 5, 1969, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her mother, Lucrecia, and two brothers, Aristisdis Christodoulou and Panos Christoldoulou, all of Las Vegas; and her grandmother, Juanita of California.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until noon services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Raymond E. Collins

Raymond E. Collins, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 25, 1925, in Artesia, N.M. A resident for eight years, he was a retired oil industry machinist.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth Collins of Las Vegas; two sisters, Ruby Peoples of Pomona, Calif., and Jewel Amick of Oceanside, Calif.; three brothers, Carlos W. Collins of Palm Springs, Calif., J.R. Collins of Hesperia, Calif., and Otis Collins Jr. of Orange, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

John Kenneth Durden

John Kenneth Durden, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A retired electrician for Pacific Gas & Electric utility company in California, he was born Feb. 17, 1915, in St. Joseph, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Aileen E.; two sons, Charles Robert Durden of Las Vegas and John Kenneth Durden Jr. of Livermore, Calif.; one daughter, Karen Fisher of Houston; two brothers, Tom Durden of Kirksville, Mo., and Samuel Durden of Sacramento; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service date is pending at Willow Creek Assisted Living Center. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Kenneth L. Estes

Kenneth L. Estes, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born July 19, 1944, in Arizona. A resident for 22 years, he was a truck driver and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie; and his mother, Patricia Merideth.

Deborah M. Fong

Deborah M. Fong, 34, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was born June 27, 1968, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son, Danial Fong, and one daughter, Stefani Fong, both of Las Vegas; her parents, Calvin and Katsuko Weiss of LaVerkin, Utah; and three sisters, Ida Lohrey of North Las Vegas, Francine Justa of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Judy Coleman of Naples, Fla.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the SGI-USA Community Center, 1201 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102.

Robert J. Harrison

Robert J. Harrison, 77, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born June 26, 1925, in Iowa. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Army staff sergeant and World War II and Korean War veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Anna M. Iwashita of Orange, Calif.; one son, Dennis Harrison; three sisters, Kathleen Harrison of Sun City, Calif., Elizabeth Timney of Anaheim, Calif., Corrine Bonham of Costa Mesa, Calif.; two brothers, Bill Harrison of Hemet, Calif., and Tom Harrison of Moreno Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 1 p.m. services Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Percy Leon Jeffries

Percy Leon Jeffries, 78, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 29, 1924, in South Carolina. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired owner-operator of an automotive company.

He is survived by his wife, Barthenia; two sons, Mike Jeffries of Los Angeles and Nick Jeffries of Lake Forest, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Robert M. Keiser

Robert M. Keiser, 87, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Boulder City. He was born Aug. 2, 1915, in Fort Wayne, Ind. A resident for 26 years, he retired as a field service manager after 40 years with Lockheed Aircraft and was a member of Masonic Lodge 37.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; one daughter, Robyn Clifford, and one son, Donald Clifford, both of Stockton, Kan.; two sisters, Sharron Cooper and Betsy Widle, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be in Kansas. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Domingo P. Martinez

Domingo P. Martinez, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born May 14, 1919, in Cuba. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired kitchen worker.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen; three daughters, Aida Izquierdo of Cuba and Marta Rios and Maria Martinez-Riach, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 11 a.m. until a 3 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.

Tangerlene Mayfield

Tangerlene Mayfield, 32, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A food service handler, she was born Aug. 28, 1970, in New Mexico.

She is survived by her mother, Ilene Mayfield of New Mexico.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New Mexico. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Gail Annette McCloud Lopez

Gail Annette McCloud Lopez, 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 5, 1960, in Charleston, S.C.

She is survived by her husband, Ciro Lopez Sr.; three sons, Antwon, Charles McCloud and Ciro Lopez Jr.; three daughters, Montrell McCloud, Rosa Lopez and Octavia Lopez; her parents, Octavia McCloud and James Godsen; four sisters, Debra Morrison, RoseAnn, Sarah and Evon McCloud; two brothers, Charles and Jamies McCloud; one half-sister, Dora Patterson; and seven grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today at Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Delbert E. Miller

Delbert E. Miller, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Jadwin, Mo. A resident for 34 years, he was a truck driver owner-operator, a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathaleen Raudenbush Miller of Las Vegas; two sons, Danny E. Miller of Florida and Johnny L. Miller of Las Vegas; one sister, Ava Jadwin, and two brothers, Kenneth Miller and Jim Miller, both of Jadwin; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services and burial will be in Jadwin. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Olger David Olsen

Olger David Olsen, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Salem, N.J. A resident for 10 years, he was a superintendent for Nevada Disaster Kleen-Up.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Dee; one daughter, Anna Whetham of Westminster, Calif.; three sons, James Olsen of Mohnton, Pa., Dave Olsen of Visalia, Calif., and Jeff Olsen of Anaheim, Calif.; three stepsons, Gregory Cauley, Steven Cauley and Robert Cauley, all of Corona, Calif.; and two brothers, Donald Olsen of Maplewood, Mo., and Irwin Olsen-Merraro of Los Angeles.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. today in the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Francisco Pazhuerta

Francisco Pazhuerta, 30, of Las Vegas died April 6 in a local hospital. He was born June 4, 1972, in Mexico. A resident for six years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Favida Paz Paz; his father, Nemecio Paz Rodriguez; and his mother, Antonia Huerta Trujano.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 5 p.m. service today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be in Mexico.

Eddris P. (Ellis) Ricroft

Eddris P. (Ellis) Ricroft, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 6, 1915, in Mansfield, Ark. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired aircraft assembler and a member of the Eagles for 45 years.

She is survived by one sister; one stepson; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Bobby Rodgers, 23, of Las Vegas died April 2 in Colorado. A resident for 20 years, he was born Aug. 5, 1979, in California.

He is survived by his father, Bobby Rogers Sr.; and his mother, Donna Knight.

Robert K. Romans

Robert K. Romans, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A dental technician, he was born Oct. 23, 1921, in Nebraska.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Verna Romans of Las Vegas.

Josefa R. Saldevar

Josefa R. Saldevar, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 22, 1910, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Amparo Gloriani, and one son, Ruben Saldivar, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were 9 a.m. today with visitation following from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Palm Mortuary's chapel, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in California.

JoAnn Spence

JoAnn Spence, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1933, in Meadville, Mo. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired saleswoman.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; three daughters, Mary Jo Blanke of Warsaw, Mo., Marlena Lay Burns of Overland Park, Kan., and Brenda Fitzsimmons of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one son, Bryan K. Spence of Lawrence, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Adrian John Tuncap

Adrian John Tuncap, 44, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 26, 1958, in Guam. A resident for nine years, he was an electrician for a telecommunications company, an Army veteran and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by his parents, Angel and Fidela of Las Vegas; two daughters, Cherilyn Hocking of Germany and Andrea of Texas; two brothers, Angel of Colorado and Joseph of Las Vegas; five sisters, Angie Koob, Christine, Melinda and Nona, all of Las Vegas, and Suzanne Santos of California; and three grandchildren.
