Annie Pearl Bell

Annie Pearl Bell, 73, of North Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Louisiana. A resident for 45 years, she was a hotel porter.

She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Smith-Alexander and Janice Bell, both of Las Vegas, Delores Tate of Barstow, Calif., and Patricia Bell of Reno; two sons, Rufus Lee Bell and Charlie Bell, both of Las Vegas; four brothers, W.B. Smith and Randy Smith, both of Las Vegas, Calvin Smith of Hesperia, Calif., and Charles Smith of Los Angeles; two sisters, Lizzie Smith of Los Angeles and Eula Mae Hutton of Compton, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Vera Boyd

Vera Boyd, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A clerk for Big Brothers Big Sisters, she was born May 31, 1937, in Michigan.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Livonia, Mich. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Gloria H. Brock

Gloria H. Brock, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 20, 1932, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired insurance claims auditor.

She is survived by her husband, Robert D.; one son, Robert Scott Brock of Las Vegas; one sister, Arlee Ashmore of Memphis, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

Elvira Calafell

Elvira Calafell, 95, of Las Vegas died April 17 in Las Vegas. She was born July 8, 1907, in Cuba. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Georgina Perez of Las Vegas; one sister, Amparo Martinez of Cuba; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Bernice Calvin

Bernice Calvin, 80, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Jefferson, Mo. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Ron Calvin of San Diego; two sisters, Virginia Catron of Independence, Mo., and Marie Trivor of Branson, Mo.; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Green Valley Baptist Church, 270 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Jade Carpor

Jade Carpor, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 28, 1950, in Torrance, Calif. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to the perpetual education fund of the LDS Church.

Busch W. Clark

Busch W. Clark, 66, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Pahrump. He was born July 11, 1936, in Arizona. A resident for 13 months, he was an accountant and a member of Sigma Chi at the University of Arizona.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald Clark of Virginia and Dennis Clark and Michael Clark, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kimberly Ward of Pahrump; and 12 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, is handling arrangements.

Ted Compton

Ted Compton, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. An owner of a book-binding company, he was born Dec. 29, 1948, in Virginia.

He is survived by one son, Shane Compton of Virginia.

Janet M. Crigar

Janet M. Crigar, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 10, 1933, in Franklin, N.J. A resident for 30 years, she was a registered nurse.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Crigar and Don Crigar, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Millie Crigar and Debra Pascal, two brothers, Alfred Houghtaling and Rudy Houghtaling, and one sister, Joan Houghtaling, all of New York; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Lois Gladwill

Lois Gladwill, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 11, 1939, in Detroit. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; three daughters, Tracy of Maryland, Diane of Pennsylvania and Cindy of Michigan; two sisters; seven brothers; and three grandchildren.

Jeffrey Alan Hylton

Jeffrey Alan Hylton, 45, of Las Vegas died April 16 in Las Vegas. A resident for six years, he was born April 12, 1958, in New Haven, Conn.

He is survived by one daughter, Janelle Hylton, one son, Jeffrey Hylton Jr., and two stepsons, Claude Moore and Nigel Moore, all of Las Vegas; his mother and stepfather, Janelle Hylton-Cole and William G. Cole of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one sister, Gaynelle Peters of Los Angeles; three brothers, John Hylton Jr. of Sacramento, Darryl Hylton of New Haven, Conn., and Henry McCullough of Moreno Valley, Calif.

Rosalie D. Igert

Rosalie D. Igert, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 20, 1929, in West Virginia. A resident for 33 years, she owned Igert Employment Agency and was a former teletype operator for 33 years with TWA.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; two brothers, Patrick DeMarco of Las Vegas and John DeMarco of Pennsylvania; one sister, Victoria DeMarco of Pennsylvania.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Clara J. Johnson

Clara J. Johnson, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1925, in Baton Rouge, La. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired hospital dietician.

She is survived by one son, Irwin Joseph and Rose Joseph, both of Las Vegas.

Walter Kotenski, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Chicago. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired aeronautical engineer.

He is survived by one daughter, Diane Powell of Mesa, Ariz.; one son, Chris Fisher of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Hazel P. Linder

Hazel P. Linder, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 22, 1916, in Vian, Okla. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired seamstress for an automotive firm.

She is survived by one son, Richard H. Linder, two daughters, Joanne L. Foster and Lee Ellen Kyker, and one sister, Ruth Ellen Mohren, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Earnest Edgar Little

Earnest Edgar Little, 75, died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Strong, Okla. A resident for 15 years, he was a concrete contractor for 47 years, a Merchant Marines and 82nd Airborne veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lorena; four sons, Jim Little of Fresno, Calif., and Curtis Little, Robert McDioitt and Ken Luca, all of Las Vegas; two daughters, Denise Little of Las Vegas and Pat Ortega of Fresno; his stepmother, Alice Little of Paso Robles, Calif.; one sister, Loreta Madsen of Harrison, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in College Baptist Church, 2101 E. Owens Ave. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Mary A. Mendes

Mary A. Mendes, 85, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 18, 1918, in Silver Lake, Mass. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Anita DeGrace and Teresa Mendes-Williams, both of Henderson; two sons, Martin Mendes of Belpre, Ohio, and Andrew Mendes of Middleboro, Mass.; two sisters, Julia Gomes of Middleboro and Dominga Prescott of Riverside, Calif.; one brother, Donigo Pina of Hull, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; and five grandchildren.

Joyce Lewis 'Joy' Morrow

Joyce Lewis "Joy" Morrow, 63, of Klamath Falls, Ore., died April 13 in Klamath Falls. She was born June 8, 1939, in Hamilton, Ala. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a bus driver.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Evans of Chiloquin, Ore., and Linda McGuff of Caladonia, Miss.; two sons, Casey Johnston of West Point, Miss., and Wesley Rosenlof of Vallejo, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Pacini of Raliroad Flats, Calif., and Ruby Cole of Hodges, Ala.; two sons, Daniel Lewis of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Jerry Lewis of Georgia; and nine grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Oregon. Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, Klamath Falls, is handling arrangements.

Joel W. Parker

Joel W. Parker, 41, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1961, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was co-owner and president of a concrete company.

He is survived by his wife, Tate; one son, Tyler Parker, and his mother, Sue Borgstrom, both of Las Vegas; and four sisters, Lisa Rhiner of Las Vegas, Pari Davidson of Pahrump, Renee Parker of San Marcos, Calif., and Cheryl Trulove of San Francisco.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

William P. Reilly

William P. Reilly, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 27, 1926, in New York City. A resident for 33 years, he was a hotel slot floorman and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve C.

Alma R. Riley

Alma R. Riley, 99, of Las Vegas died April 6 in Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1904, in Greenville, Miss. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired real estate executive, retired major general of the Blue Eagles Regiment, Nevada Brigade Antlar Guard and a daughter of the Catherine Keith Temple 983.

She is survived by one son, Joseph W. Curtis of Las Vegas.

Mary Scott, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 25, 1920, in Cincinnati. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her guardian, Pat Garrison of Las Vegas.

William F. Shepherd

William F. Shepherd, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 14, 1948, in Michigan. A resident for seven years, he was a retired cab company owner and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Valeria; one daughter, StaciLynne Shepherd of Las Vegas; one son, Raymond P. Shepherd of Chesterfield Township, Mich.; two sisters, Sue Durante of Waterford, Mich., and Terri Lee Zeeman of Phoenix; one brother, Kenneth W. Shepherd of Denver; and four grandchildren.

Katherine J. Shillaire, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Grafton, N.D. A resident for six years, she was a retired restaurant owner.

Eddie Dean Stevenson Jr., 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1960, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 41 years, he was a laborer for a purified water company and an Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Eddie Dean Stevenson III of Tallulah and Deonbre Stevenson of Las Vegas; one daughter, Jalesia Stevenson of Tallulah; his mother, Lennie Wattree of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Melvin Stevenson Sr. and Antwon Beal, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Gloria Sims of Columbus, Ohio, and Vearse Stevenson, Brenda Stevenson and Sharlene Stevenson, all of Las Vegas.

Louis H. Strawser, 94, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 23, 1909, in California. A resident for 30 years, he owned and operated a photography laboratory and was a World War II Navy veteran.

Joe Michael Watson

Joe Michael Watson, 52, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1950, in Mount Pleasant, Mich. A resident for 24 years, he was a driver for an outdoor tour company.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta A.; and his parents, Joseph and Clara.

Mass will be celebrated 7:30 p.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. A private burial will follow.

Wayne I. Williams

Wayne I. Williams, 31, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 28, 1972 in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a cleaning service janitor.

He is survived by one son, Sherian, four daughters, Shanicea, Ti'tanesha, Indonaysa and Dominqiue, his mother, Norma Williams, his father, John Williams Sr., and his stepmother, Patsy Williams, all of Las Vegas; his stepfather, Russell Washington of Plaquemine, La.; four brothers, John Williams Jr., and Eric Williams, both of Las Vegas, and Russell Washington Jr. and Eliah, both of Plaquemine; and five sisters, Nicole Williams, Michelle Williams, Carlisa Williams, Temeka Williams and Carla Williams, all of Las Vegas.
