Slot makers to debut themed machines

Alliance Gaming Corp. expects to introduce about 110 new slot machines at next week's Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, including machines with themes such as Saturday Night Live's "Wayne's World," "S&H Green Stamps" and a "Quartermillions" jackpot game.

Alliance expects to unveil "Wayne's World" alongside several other games based on the Saturday Night Live television improv show, including "Operaman."

The games will feature SNL stars Dan Aykroyd, Dana Carvey, John Belushi, Adam Sandler, Kevin Nealon and Mike Myers.

Separately, WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc., has entered into a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer Products Inc. for exclusive North American rights to create slot machines based on the movie "Men In Black."

International Game Technology said it has received licensing rights to create a gaming machine based on comedian Drew Carey.

And Shuffle Master Inc. has signed an agreement with the Miramax film production company to produce a slot machine based on the movie "Chicago."
