An air carrier and a travel agency have signed a three-year, $69.3 million agreement that will offer charter flight service between Las Vegas and Honolulu.
World Airways, Peachtree City, Ga., announced today that it has signed a contract with TM Travel to offer flights on a three-engine MD-11 jumbo jet.
World values the contract at $7.3 million for the rest of this year and $31 million each for 2004 and 2005.
Flights are scheduled to begin Sept. 17.
The operation would compete with Honolulu-based Hawaiian Airlines on the route, which offers one nonstop round trip a day between Las Vegas and Honolulu. Aloha Airlines also has two one-stop flights a day.
